main-style.css being overridden automatically

Tyler asked 3 years ago

I am working on Cherry Framework 3.1.5 with “theme48423”. I have made changes in “/wp-content/themes/theme48423/main-style.css” per support’s advice on how to change styling of some stuff. However, it seems as though the main-style.css is being overridden automatically at times and in doing so, my changes are lost in the override (I noticed the file change from git). Is this a known issue or did I do something wrong? Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Hi @Tyler,
Yes, main-style.css automatically re-compiled from .less filesĀ each time when you save options or updating .less files. So if you want to add own CSS best way to add it into style.css, if you want to change some existing rules – better to do this in .less files
